A Lesson On Lifting
Make sure your employees know the proper lifting techniques. It is healthier
for them and strengthens your bottom line by reducing costly workers compensation
and loss of productivity.
Feet should be apart, with one foot behind the object and the
other alongside.
Keep your back straight. This keeps the organs, spine and
back muscles in alignment.
Arms and elbows should be drawn close to your body to keep
your weight balanced.
Use the full palm and fingers to hold the object. This provides
better power and grip.
Tuck in your chin so your head and neck continue to be in a
straight line with your spine.
Position your body so your weight is centered on your feet.
