Two Basic Types of Massage Therapy:

Neuromuscular Massage therapy is specifically effective for pain arising from soft tissue injury, such as muscle strain. The American Academy of Pain Management recommends this form of therapy to promote the healing response in non-inflamed soft tissues.

To address muscles in spasm, neuromuscular therapy alternates a concentrated pressure on the affected areas.
